1. Cut the foam with the knife to fit into the basket, glue to secure.
Hold a 1/2" bunch of raffia together and tie the center with a single raffia strand. Cut each side of the bundle
to 4" - 41/2". Repeat for 7-10 bundles. Secure the bundles to the basket rim using U-pins and glue.
3. Cut six 5"-6"l sprigs of magnolias and glue them evenly spaced among
the grape leaves.
2. Cut 4"-6" sprigs
of grape leaves and glue them into the foam evenly around the inner
basket rim. Attach each grape cluster to a wood pick (see note). Glue
one to the left of the front handle; glue the other at 3:00 as shown.
4. Cut 5"-6" stems of six rose clusters and glue them evenly
spaced around the magnolias. Cut 5"-6" stems of solidago and glue them among the greenery as shown in the large photo.
Using a wood pick:
Hold the wood pick next to the raffia loop tails, just below the loop bottom, then wrap the wire tightly around the tails.
To lengthen a stem, hold the pick next to the stem to achieve the desired length and wrap the wire around it. Place glue on
the pick then insert it into floral foam or wreath to secure it.
