My Stamps sarabinder™
By Paris Dukes

Have so many rubber stamps that you can’t keep track of them all in your head? This useful organizer will do the work for you! Just fill it with dividers and blank papers to organize your collection. This binder is the perfect size to take with you to the stamp store–use it as a reference to remember which stamp designs you already have and which ones you still need to coordinate with!

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Covering the Surface of a sarabinder™ with Paper

    1. Apply glue to the surface of the binder. Place face down onto the back of your patterned paper, aligning the edge of the paper along the spine of the binder.

    2. Place face down on a cutting mat, then trace around the outside edges of the binder with an X-acto® knife to trim the excess paper.

Note: Do not wrap the paper around the spine of the binder or it will warp when you attempt to open the binder.
Paint the spine and back surface of the binder green. Cover the front of the binder with blue and green blocks paper (see the sidebar to the right for instructions) and paint the edges green.
  2. Use green paint and alphabet stamps to spell out “stamps” on the blue textured portion of the blue and green block border paper. Cut out each letter and edge with green paint. Tip: Don’t worry about perfectly straight edges. Paris’ slanted edges add charm to this artsy book. Orient the binder horizontally and glue the letters across the front of the binder, overlapping each other.
  3. Use a black pen to write the word “my” onto blue textured paper, then cut out and edge with green paint. Cut a 5 1/2” length of green grosgrain ribbon, then trim the tails at an angle and fold the length in half. Staple the folded end of the ribbon behind the left end of the word “my” and glue above the word “stamps” on the front of the binder.
