Susan chose papers and embellishments in rich, coordinating brown tones for this heritage-themed layout. Swirls add style to the page, while brads and silk flowers give it wonderful texture and dimension. Susan’s tip? Those elegant swirls are so easy to do—with a template!

Supplies:

• Use 'Em for Anything Chocolate papers
• Chocolate Flowers
• Chocolate Brad Pack
• Swirly Doodles Template
• white cardstock
• brown cardstock
• black cardstock
• black pen
• black ink pad
• glue stick

Instructions:

1. Ink the edges of a sheet of tan bordered paper and place it with the grey flourish border at the bottom.
2. Double-mat four 3 1/2"x4 3/4" photos on black, then brown cardstock, inking the edges of the brown mats. Glue all four photos overlapping across the top of the page.
3. Trace the template's swirls C and G in the top right corner of the page. Add a small brown silk flower to the swirls with a dark brown mini brad.
4. Trace the template's swirls B, E, F and H below the photos. Add a dark brown flower to the swirls with a white brad.
5. Layer an ivory flower on top of a dark brown flower and attach them to the right end of the page border with a black brad.
6. Computer journal on white cardstock and ink the edges. Mat the journaling on brown cardstock, trim to 1/8" and ink the edges. Glue the journaling in the bottom left corner of the page.
7. Computer journal two photo captions on white cardstock and ink the edges. Mat each on black cardstock and glue even with the bottom left corner of two photos.
