Caught Again
One simple way to add an artsy “distressed” look to your layout is with altered alphabet
tiles. Alphabet Tiles are paper cut-outs; you simply cut them out and they’re ready to use as is—or you
can alter them as Susan did. Susan tore out the newspaper-style letters, then crumpled them up, smoothed
them out and gently sanded them with fine-grade sandpaper. She arranged her page headline by overlapping
some of the letters, placing some on red tags accented with black and white brads. Susan’s tip: For extra
dimension, attach the alphabet tiles with foam tape.
